Cooking Recipes Are Coming to ApeScape

Cooking Recipes Are Coming to ApeScape

Food in ApeScape is becoming more than a decorative inventory item. It is becoming part of a complete player-driven Cooking profession built around ingredients, recipes, tools, world stations, progression, quality, and survival.

Our Cooking foundation includes fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods, drinks, prepared meals, condiments, cookware, utensils, containers, and serving items. These assets are being connected through a structured recipe system that allows players to transform gathered resources into useful food.

Recipes Can Use Up to Five Ingredients

ApeScape recipes can require between one and five ingredient entries.

Simple recipes may involve cutting fruit, preparing vegetables, roasting meat, cooking an egg, or making toast. More advanced recipes may combine several resources to produce meals such as burgers, soups, pizza, sushi, vegetable skewers, sandwiches, cakes, cookies, and specialty drinks.

Each recipe can define:

  • Required ingredients and quantities
  • Cooking level
  • Firemaking requirement
  • Required tool
  • Required Cooking station
  • Cooking duration
  • Experience reward
  • Success chance
  • Failure result

Different Recipes Need Different Stations

Not every recipe can be completed at the same Cooking station.

ApeScape Cooking stations will include:

  • Campfires
  • Preparation tables
  • Stoves
  • Ovens
  • Cooking pots
  • Steamers
  • Drink stations
  • Freezers

The Campfire will be the first heated Cooking source available to new players. It will support basic open-fire recipes such as roasting, grilling, reheating, simple frying with a pan, and basic boiling with a Cooking pot.

Advanced bakery recipes, frozen desserts, precision meals, and complex drinks will require specialized stations.

Pantry Ingredients Expand the Economy

Recipes will also use pantry resources such as flour, sugar, salt, milk, butter, rice, coffee beans, tea leaves, cocoa, vanilla, yeast, water, and ice.

These resources create additional value for gathering, farming, fishing, hunting, trade, vendors, exploration, and future production professions.

A single ingredient may become useful across several recipes. That means even common resources can remain valuable when cooks need them in quantity.

Recipes Will Unlock Through Progression

Cooking is being designed as a level 1–99 profession. Players will begin with basic preparation and survival food before advancing into complex meals, higher-quality results, improved efficiency, and more specialized equipment.

Some recipes may be learned from trainers. Future recipes may also come from quests, dungeons, merchants, factions, events, rare drops, or exploration.

Cooking is not being added simply to fill inventory slots. It is being developed as a connected recipe network that gives ingredients, tools, stations, progression, and trade a meaningful purpose.
